A melting-pot of laid-back melodies, hip-hop rhythms and acoustic guitars, Shwayze's self-titled debut [Suretone/Geffen Records] pays homage to an all-day-and-into-the-night party lifestyle colored by the rolling tides of his hometown beaches, and the rolling papers that flavor the proceedings. Collaborating with Shwayze, Adler co-wrote all of the songs on the album, producing and providing backing vocals along the way. The first single, "Buzzin'" splashes Cisco's roots-rock acoustic-guitar and vocal tapestry with Shwayze's cooler-than-a-sea-breeze hip-hop delivery. Says the rapper, "It's a new West Coast sound, it's California chill, West Coast stoner music." Case in point? "Don't Be Shy." "It's about Malibu being like an endless summer. Cisco came up with the hook and the `da-don-don, da-don-don-don't be shy' part. I came up with the verses about a couple of chicks I was into. Nice laid back change of pace. I give 7 tracks on here decent play.
They did an amazing job with this CD. Really laid back music.good for listening to anytime.
They kind of remind me of a modern day Eazy-E. The lyrics are fun but sometimes immature, the beats are really good. Definitely a good choice if you want some "mellow" rap-type music. I like this CD more than my husband. I like listening to it while driving. We have a convertible and it makes me want to drop the top and cruise around the beach.haha, just not too loudly, I am afraid of all the looks I will get if people around here all the references to smoking pot.

I recommend this album to everyone. you'll LOVE Shwayze's new songs on his Rich Girls Mixtape which is available for FREE here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php.cyuzijmcnm3it's a bit different than what's on the album, but it's still fantastic.check it out. Shwayze's album is one of the most unique albums out there right now. It's definitely a nice change in what's on the radio right now. If you like Shwayze, or music in general.
Fun to sing along too. Gets me pumped up in the car. Both Schwayze and Cisco sound awesome on this CD.
